Senior Data Quality Developer to support enterprise healthcare data modernization initiatives within a large public-sector environment. This role requires strong expertise in data quality, governance, SQL, cloud data platforms, and application development, with the ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with complex data environments and strong communication skills to secure an interview.
Must Haves - 3+ years of professional experience developing applications with Java, with additional JavaScript experience preferred.
- Strong SQL skills and demonstrated experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from large-scale databases or data warehouses.
- Hands-on experience with data quality tools, preferably Informatica Data Quality and related Informatica platforms.
- Practical knowledge of data governance, including business glossaries, policies, workflows, metadata, and data stewardship practices.
- Experience working with large-volume or multi-terabyte data warehouses and complex enterprise data models.
- Experience developing data quality rules, validations, extraction routines, and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including identifying data trends, anomalies, and potential outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
What the Client Needs You to Do The successful candidate will help advance enterprise data quality and modernization initiatives by designing dependable validation processes, improving data governance practices, and developing solutions for complex healthcare data environments. You will partner with architecture, engineering, analytics, quality assurance, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve data integrity issues, and establish repeatable standards for data quality. The role requires ownership of assigned initiatives and the ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain data quality rules, validations, controls, and monitoring processes using programming languages and specialized data quality platforms.
- Configure and enhance data governance solutions, including business glossaries, dashboards, policies, searches, metadata relationships, and governance workflows.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into practical governance processes and workflows within relevant data management platforms.
- Research and implement approaches for data mastering, data management, and enterprise data integrity.
- Build and enhance web-based applications and supporting tools using Java, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Design analytical solutions and visualizations using business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Cognos.
- Query, manipulate, and analyze high-volume datasets within enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Review existing ETL processes and provide technical feedback regarding data integrity, quality, and reliability.
- Investigate complex data issues, identify patterns and trends, and develop solutions that support accurate reporting and analytics.
- Document technical processes, development activities, validation results, and recommended improvements.
- Present analysis, findings, and processes to business and technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate data workflows, applications, and operational processes.
