Job Description Summary

The Senior Data Engineer will support creation of the Book of Record by building AWS-based data pipelines, enabling a single source of truth. The role requires strong AWS expertise, Snowflake / Power BI integration, data quality focus, and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, data scientists, analytics teams, and business product owners in an agile environment. 
  • Design robust, reusable, and scalable data-driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks. 
  • Automate ingestion, processing, and delivery of structured/unstructured and batch/real-time data. 
  • Understand and implement best practices in enterprise data management (master data, reference data, metadata, data quality, lineage). 
  • Work with ALM, Hedging, Risk, and other stakeholders. 
  • Navigate competing priorities; adapt to changing requirements.  ​


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, engineering, or related field. 
  • Four years of experience across data engineering, analytics, warehousing, BI, DB admin, integration. 
  • Two years DevOps/CI-CD experience. 
  • Practical experience with data warehousing and ETL development. 
  • SQL expertise. 
  • Creative thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Results oriented with strong customer focus. 
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical field. 
  • Understanding of big data and streaming analytics architectures. 
  • Experience with analytics, ML technologies. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools. 
  • Relevant certifications (AWS, etc.). 
  • Programming experience (DBT, Python, Scala, Node.js). 
  • Snowflake experience. 

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid-Office Environment (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays); occasional travel.

Compensation

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $95,000- $115,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids, IA; Philadelphia, PA; Denver, CO).  Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
