Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Data and Technology Advisor to join our team supporting United States Army Central (USARCENT) at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. This position will have some Overseas travel to Austere Locations.

The Senior Data and Technology Advisor will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Serve in an advisory and support capacity as the Command Senior Data/Technology Advisor (SDTA) for HQ USARCENT. Advise the technology team in the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives. Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure technology initiatives support the overall innovation/modernization strategy of USARCENT.
  • Advise and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders throughout USARCENT, DoD, other Federal Agencies, academia, and private sectors to support USARCENT's Data Management structure, the implementation of the Command's Information Management framework, and Digital Transformation with a focus on artificial intelligence, data, and hybrid cloud computing mission objectives. Advise the technology team on coordinating and implementing USARCENT digital transformation and data management strategy efforts. Assist in mapping out major priorities for digital transformation and advise the Command's lead, in coordination with the USARCENT G6, G3, and other staff sections on Command, Control, & Communications, for digital innovation. Advise on processes, procedures, and technologies to ensure they are used to their full potential so 'digital' becomes ingrained into the Command's business model; and provide recommendations on the most effective and efficient levers for improving Command's ability to leverage data and digital services based upon quantitative and qualitative assessments of user needs.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with CI Poly; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:
  • Must possess the ability to operate independently, executing the commander's intent with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, artificial intelligence/machine learning efforts, business intelligence, and budget
  • Experience at an operational level headquarters
  • Working understanding of Army Operations

Desired Skills:
  • STEM Degree preferred
