Senior Data Analyst - Customer Solutions

Position Summary

OPEX Corporation is searching for an experienced full-time SeniorData Analyst to join the Customer Solutions team. The Data Analysis takes a product and order-driven approach to understanding the material handling requirements of distribution centers and e-commerce fulfillment. The Senior Data Analyst is a critical role in both analyzing and conceptualizing product storage, product / data flow requirements within a partial to fully automated distribution center. The analyst works closely with sales to apply industry leading robotic material handling solutions.

Requirements
  • Education / Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Analytics/Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or Industrial Engineering and 3+ years of warehouse automation analysis experience.
    • or master's degree in the aforementioned areas and 1+ year of warehouse automation analysis experience.
    • or 6+ years of experience in one or more of the aforementioned areas as well as Warehouse / Fulfillment center automation.
  • Industry experience in analytics specifically related to Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) as well as Automated Sortation or Put Wall systems.
  • Technical expertise in data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Expert Python skills in data cleaning, data wrangling, and data analytics.
  • Outstanding skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data exploration and visualization.
  • Knowledge of material handling technology and analysis methodologies.
  • Knowledge of process improvement and mathematical modeling of systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of material flow within a distribution center.
  • Able to correlate the data analysis results to the actual material and process flow within a distribution center including automation.
  • Adept in queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Experience working with simulation and emulation preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to own project assignments and support engineering and technical sales process.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary (typically 15%)


Responsibilities
  • Work as a principal analyst with a team of analysts and a multi-disciple group of engineers to develop data driven software models.
  • Leads development efforts for data analysis tools for both internal and customer needs.
  • Innovating methods to Filter and 'clean' data to a standardized format for post processing.
  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques to determine storage size, product flow, product placement within storage, match automation component speeds, load balance equipment and staffing to site requirements.
  • Develop clear and concise charts, reports and presentations that convey the details necessary to drive solution requirements.
  • Develop understanding of customer needs based on ASRS and Sortation automation industry knowledge, market offerings, ecosystems and relationships.
  • Design customized solution options leveraging data analysis results.
  • Facilitating joint sales calls (virtual and onsite) to gather, evaluate and present technical information with an Account Manager. Conveying automation solution options as well as how they can function effectively for the customer.
  • Functions as a senior team member to guide and train analysts. Assumes manager responsibilities in the absence of the manager.

  • Occasional travel to customer and internal OPEX sites.


This positions salary range is $100k - $125k , based on experience.
