Job Description:

The Senior Cyber Security Manager is responsible for managing the cyber security of an organization. They oversee a team of IT professionals who work to protect the company from cyber threats and attacks.

The Senior Cyber Security Manager may also be tasked with developing and implementing policies that help ensure the safety of sensitive data or systems. This might include creating guidelines for employees on how they should handle sensitive information, as well as training programs to educate everyone on best practices when it comes to handling digital information.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead, embrace and operate within the core values.
• Developing security policies, procedures, and guidelines based on industry best practices.
• Maintaining awareness of new cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to keep the organization secure.
• Conducting risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitoring network and endpoint activity to identify signs of intrusion or compromise.
• Developing security policies, procedures and guidelines that are compliant with federal regulations.
• SOC II Type II and/or ISO 27001:22 certification management.
• Providing technical support for computer networks, including firewalls, operating systems and applications, patch management, and data security best practices.
• Supervising and training staff on information security best practices to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Conducting audits to ensure security protocols are being followed by staff.
• Providing training in information security best practices to employees or clients.

Education and Experience:
• M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is preferred
• Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent education or work experience with an emphasis on Cyber Security.
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience in Cyber Security management
• Knowledge of various anti-virus software tools including Microsoft Defender, Sophos End Point
• Knowledge of various operating systems such as Windows 11

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of the latest cyber security software and tools and how to use them to protect company resources.
• General knowledge of IT networks
• Knowledge of applications such as Microsoft, Anti-virus, and Malware
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organization, project and application development teams, management, and business personnel
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering and IT operations staff
• Responsible for creating a security strategy for the entire company.
• Analyze the current security measures, assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities and finding ways to mitigate those risks.
• Identify potential threats and devise solutions to protect the company data.

License and Certifications: (preferred)

CISSP - Certified Information Security System Professional Security +

CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
