POSITION: Senior CRE Portfolio Manager
Position Summary:
The Senior Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Portfolio Manager, under the supervision of the Head of Commercial Portfolio Management and assigned Loan Officers, assists with managing the credit risk and loan quality of the CRE loan portfolio by supporting and assisting CRE loan officers with preliminary review and underwriting of new prospective loan opportunities, the collection of CRE customer financial information, monitoring of portfolio performance, and regular customer contact. In addition, they're responsible for the management and preparation of a variety of monthly and quarterly portfolio management reports as directed by supervisors. This position may also be assigned direct responsibility for some smaller and low-activity CRE loan accounts.
Key Result Areas:
• Monitor/manage the analysis of financial and related data to establish credit worthiness and/or make recommendations with respect to new loans, support loan officers in negotiations of credit terms w/customers, existing loan extensions and renewals.
• Responsible for managing the coordination and collection of existing CRE customer's required financial reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) in accordance with loan terms, conditions and Loan Policy requirements.
• Monitor/manage the commercial real estate portfolio on a continuing basis as to collateral and credit quality and provide early warning of possible deterioration, inclusive of covenant testing, completion of annual reviews, and monitoring of risk ratings.
• Responsible for assisting loan officers in the ordering and review of third-party reports (appraisal, environmental, building condition). Perform site inspections as needed.
• Assist in the coordination, design and development of various loan concentration and property sensitivity analysis reports in cooperation with Risk Management and Credit.
• Provide day-to-day point of contact for customer service issues that arise within the client base and promote exceptional customer service.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other areas in the Commercial Lending Division as well as other CSB departments to ensure that all customer relationships are serviced appropriately.
• Participate in community affairs and professional organizations to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
• Keep abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on lending activities.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• College degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or equivalent.
• 8+ years' applicable commercial credit experience, with a focus on commercial real estate.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate and identify customer needs and business opportunities.
• Knowledge of regulations concerning commercial real estate lending.
• Prior experience mentoring and/or managing junior staff preferred.

Salary Range: $148,500 - $175,000
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $148,500 - $175,000.
