Full Job Description
Role Overview Under minimal supervision, reviews underwriting proposals for high-dollar volume recommendations that are developed in the regional offices. Ensures that underwriting recommendations and decisions are effective and appropriate for the protection of the financial assets of the company and the carrier Key Responsibilities
Evaluate risk acceptability within established corporate guidelines and set appropriate rates and factor levels.
Perform audits on a percentage of all quotations, new business and renewal cases produced by each region to insure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
Perform audits on cases with aggregate claims in excess of determined percentage as established in corporate guidelines.
May direct the day-to-day underwriting of the underwriters on regional teams. This includes, but is not limited to reviewing and signing-off on underwriter discretion level, acting as a resource for underwriting questions, and managing the work flow.
Educating and training colleagues and team members in the duties and responsibilities of strong underwriting practices.
Develops and maintains department guidelines contained in Underwriting Manual as well as maintains overall product of Underwriting Manual.
What You Bring
4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
8 Years Relevant and progressive experience Management experience preferred in Stop Loss underwriting
Possess and have ability to apply advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

The pay range for this position is $88.900-$196,300, which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
