Location: Remote - Work may be performed anywhere within the United States
Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to local VA offices is required for security processing, CAC card issuance, and laptop pickup
Employment Type: Full-Time | Federal Contract (Contingent Upon Award)
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience, certification, and degree

Scope of Work:
Stafford Consulting is seeking a Senior Contracts Support Specialist to perform a wide range of acquisition tasks across the pre-award and post-award phases of federal contracting. This role focuses on supporting VA Architecture & Engineering (A&E) and construction-related procurement actions, ensuring compliance with FAR, VAAR, and evolving federal guidance.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Must include at least 24 semester hours in any combination of: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

General Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant federal contracting experience. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Documented experience in both pre-award and post-award acquisition processes. Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR).

Specific Experience:
Experience acquiring A&E and/or construction services. Experience supporting VA acquisition requirements strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and assist with awards and terminations for federal contracts. Support procurement of supplies and services, including complex and high-dollar acquisitions. Analyze certified cost and pricing data to determine price reasonableness. Prepare and maintain contract files and electronic documentation. Develop contracting recommendations for Contracting Officers. Interpret and apply evolving federal regulations, policies, and laws. Ensure compliance with VA-specific acquisition protocols and documentation standards.

Eligibility & Work Authorization:
Ability to obtain and maintain federal clearance. Travel required for VA security processing and equipment issuance. Remote work authorized across CONUS 50. Position is contingent upon contract award.
