We're seeking a driven Senior Natural Gas Pipeline ProjectManager for construction and maintenance projects who wants to advance theircareer, gaining hands-on experience across all disciplines of gas constructionand estimating fundamentals. You will join a highly respected pipeline divisionthat boasts 90+ years of collective expertise, working side-by-side with ourleadership team who will support your development.
This role is designed for a senior level growth-mindedconstruction professional who thrives in both operational leadership andbusiness development environments. The selected candidate will have significantinfluence over project execution, client relationships, team development,operational processes, and long-term strategic growth of the business unit.
What You'll DoIn this role, you'll be involved in the full projectmanagement lifecycle from bidding/pricing work, preconstruction, projectconstruction, and final completion/project turn over to owner.
You will:
- Managethe full operations of our current maintenance and repair contract with YorkCounty, SC Natural Gas.
- Developand maintain strong client relationships with gas utilities in our region andgas industry partners in NC and SC.
- Supportbusiness development efforts, estimating coordination, and strategic growthinitiatives for natural gas pipeline construction and maintenance work.
- Developproject strategy, preconstruction planning, and scheduling efforts.
- Build,mentor, and lead project teams, field personnel, and subcontractorrelationships.
- Communicatewith suppliers and subcontractors to develop purchase orders and subcontractagreements for the project.
- Completeall project specific administration and submittal requirements from receiptfrom suppliers/subcontractors to final owner approval.
- Coordinateand communicate with the project Field Supervision to ensure all manpower,equipment, materials, subcontractors, are ready and available when needed tomeet project schedule.
- Continuouslymonitor project cost (labor, material, subcontracts, equipment) and trackproduction, provide feedback to the management team, and update schedules.
- Communicatewith other team members to remove any obstacles that arise during construction.
- Abilityto conduct meetings with owners and engineers and discuss project specifics.
- Grow intoleading complete projects in new markets, ultimately taking ownership of fullproject from preconstruction to project completion.
- Participatein long-term planning and organizational development of the Gas business unitof the company.
What You Bring- 10+ yearsof experience in natural gas pipeline construction, utility infrastructure, orrelated heavy civil construction.
- Provenexperience managing large-scale gas distribution, transmission, or maintenanceprojects.
- Strongknowledge of pipeline construction methods, utility coordination, and industrysafety standards.
- Demonstratedleadership experience managing multiple projects and teams.
- Strongcommunication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor'sdegree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, EngineeringTechnology, or related discipline.
- Estimatingexperience in gas pipeline construction or heavy civil construction preferred.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook).
- Sometravel across NC and SC is required as needed.
