Full Job Description
As Senior Construction Manager you will be the key point of contact for the County Project Management Staff for all aspects of this $120M Progressive Design-Build (PDBE) project. The Sr. Construction Manager reports directly to the County Senior Project Manager and all communication flows from the County through the Sr. CM to the PDBE.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Construction Management team members who perform these services:
• Provides the overall planning, coordination and direction for construction management activities on projects to ensure they are on time, on budget, and on schedule, and also monitors cost and project performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Provides overall management of the inspection team, including scheduling and planning upcoming inspections. Coordinate all required special inspections.
• Maintains management and project facilitation for the successful completion per compliance, contractual, owner and Vanir requirements.
• Lead Owner/Contractor meetings.
• Track and manage budgets.
• Review and validate change requests and schedules.
• Establish and maintain QAQC processes and procedures.
• Enforce Owner safety and security processes and requirements.
• Track progress daily and provide weekly status reports.
• Maintain positive and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
• Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent technical area of study.
• 10+ years of experience in management of construction, engineering, or equivalent technical projects. Experience with youth correctional facilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build processes related to the construction delivery phase.
• Knowledge of Change Management with an ability to assess risk factors and generate at least a Level-3 cost estimate.
• Ability to work with an engaged owner and versatile leadership skills to coordinate diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of and ability to manage and use Special Inspectors as required by the California Building Code
Preferred
• Knowledge of the Design-Build process for "all" phases of a project.
• Knowledge of detention and security system applications, the California Contract Code and County applications, BSCC and Title 15 Standards is a plus.
• DBIA Certification and/or a California PE license.

Posted Salary Range
USD $160,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
