Senior Construction Manager!Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Guam team, based in our office in Guam, a U.S. Territory, focusing on the Pacific region.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- Manage and oversee construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
- Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor's compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
- Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Observing general job safety practices.
- Monitor construction progress, schedule, budget, quality, and safety compliance.
- Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Conduct field inspections and document construction activities.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Possibility of weekend and night work as needed.
The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible construction engineering or construction management experience
- Experience managing construction projects
- Knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, scheduling, and cost control
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure preferred
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), PMP, or other relevant professional certification preferred
- Experience with federal projects for NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, FAA, or other government agencies preferred
- Familiarity with Guam construction practices, permitting requirements, and local regulations
- Experience managing aviation, transportation, utility, water/wastewater, military, or waterfront infrastructure projects
