Senior Computer Hardware Engineer

Location: Hill AFB, UT (onsite)

Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Senior Computer Hardware Engineer to support HILL COMPONENT ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER (CEDC) IT OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for software tool implementation and integration to include Elastic, F5, VMWare, Solarwinds, Ansible, and others across the CEDC.
• Deploy and configure network monitoring tools for performance management and fault detection
• Responsible for developing standardized process and training materials for new tool implementation
• Resonsible for providing operational support for infrastructure components, including networking, F5 load balancers, and data management.
• Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software components to improve operations of the CEDC
• Responsible for concept designs, gather node/rack requirements, and help future design requirements to help develop robust and high-performance cloud solutions.
• Responsible for creating detailed technical specifications for new hardware procurement
• Work alongside Project Management to ensure timely delivery of work in Agile methodology
• Responsible for supporting a multi-cloud recommendation for storage, compute, load capacity, and other key considerations for a successful migration.
• Monitor and support SSL certifications to ensure operational stability.
• Other duties as assigned by the Contract Program Manager

Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience
• Five (5)+ years of relevant experience

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Active Secret Clearance required
