Job Description:

The Senior Compensation and Workforce Analyst provides advanced analytical, technical, and consultative support for compensation programs. The role is responsible for translating complex compensation data and business requirements into scalable, technology enabled solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision making. This role partners heavily with Finance and collaborates with HR to support compensation planning, analytics, reporting, and system administration. This role maintains core Compensation Senior Analyst responsibilities while serving as the administrator and subject matter expert for compensation systems, analytics, and market data.

Job Responsibilities:

Compensation Analysis & Program Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting job analysis, job evaluations, annual market pricing, salary structures, and incentive related analysis.
  • Provide education and upskilling to the HR Business Partner team in the areas of job analysis, job evaluations, annual market pricing, salary structures, and incentive related analysis
  • Lead annual market pricing activities, including job matching, survey analysis, and provide recommendations to inform structure, range, and design.
  • Support the analysis and modeling, and administer incentive compensation programs ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with compensation philosophy.

Advanced Analytics, Reporting & Visualization
  • This role serves as a strategic analytics partner, leveraging compensation and workforce data to generate insights that support organizational planning, talent decisions, pay equity, labor cost management, and overall workforce effectiveness.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced reporting, dashboards, models, and calculators to support compensation planning, merit cycles, incentives, and leadership decision making.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to pay, performance, and compensation program outcomes.
  • Present insights and recommendations through clear, executive ready summaries and visualizations, translating complex data into actionable business guidance.
  • Develop scalable reporting solutions that provide both enterprise wide visibility and targeted analysis for specific business units and leaders.

Technology Enablement & Process Optimization
  • Serve as the administrator for internal compensation platforms, including system configuration, data governance, maintenance, audit support, and user enablement.
  • Perform business, data, and system analysis to assess compensation workflows, tools, and data flows.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and system enhancements to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Take a lead role in annual merit planning configuration, testing, and validation in coordination with PFCU HR.
  • Lead the workflow redesign of incentive and compensation processes to ensure operational consistency, audit readiness, and data integrity.

Cross Functional Partnership & Governance
  • Manage participation and submission to external compensation survey providers, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, pay equity considerations, and internal compensation policies by remaining current on regulatory changes.
  • Manage multiple priorities and ad hoc requests in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs.
  • Support plan documentation, guidelines, tools, and other collateral to ensure consistent application of compensation programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Education Required to Perform Job:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Human Resources, or related field required.

Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience Required to Perform Job Upon Hire:

5 years working in an analytical role including Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related business required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Training, Technical Skills, or Knowledge Required:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of tools, including Co-Pilot and other Gen AI tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, and process optimization.
  • Automation and integration solutions leveraging SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint to automate workflows, support HR and compensation processes, and improve data accuracy and reporting.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI for data modeling, dashboards, visualization, and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience using Power Automate to design and implement workflow and process automation solutions.
  • Experience leveraging SharePoint for data storage, collaboration, workflow support, and integration with Microsoft automation and reporting tools.
  • Ability to evaluate and apply appropriate tools and technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of compensation processes

Other Measurable Abilities Required:
  • Strong ability to translate complex data, system outputs, and technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for business leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a consultative, problem-solving approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently while partnering effectively with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and automation initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on data integrity, accuracy, governance, and audit readiness.
  • Strong analytical judgment and decision-making skills, including the ability to design "best available" solutions rather than defaulting to legacy processes.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity through structured analysis, system enhancements, and continuous process improvement.

The hiring range for this position is $94,320 to $141,480 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
