Job DescriptionSenior Client AccountantWilmington, DEMonday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00Hybrid | 3 days in OfficeSome things you will be doing:- Manage the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of client entities, including SPVs
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated financial statements with intercompany eliminations, in accordance with US GAAP
- Coordinate and manage year-end audits and work closely with external auditors
- Maintain general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, investor allocations, and supporting schedules
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and professional communication
- Ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines, including during peak reporting periods
- Assist in process improvements and implementation of best practices across client engagements
- Partner with offshore accounting teams to execute client deliverables, including reviewing work product, managing workflows, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need? - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus)
- 4-6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting, fund administration, or client services
- Experience in accounting for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) or investment structures strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in a client service-oriented environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding, recurring deadlines throughout the year
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
Preferred Skills- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Investran is a plus
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
