Senior Client Accountant

Wilmington, DE

Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00

Hybrid | 3 days in Office

Some things you will be doing:
  • Manage the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of client entities, including SPVs
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated financial statements with intercompany eliminations, in accordance with US GAAP
  • Coordinate and manage year-end audits and work closely with external auditors
  • Maintain general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, investor allocations, and supporting schedules
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and professional communication
  • Ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines, including during peak reporting periods
  • Assist in process improvements and implementation of best practices across client engagements
  • Partner with offshore accounting teams to execute client deliverables, including reviewing work product, managing workflows, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus)
  • 4-6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting, fund administration, or client services
  • Experience in accounting for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) or investment structures strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in a client service-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding, recurring deadlines throughout the year
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Investran is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
