Full Job Description
IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this leadership role, you will oversee a diverse established and long-standing portfolio of civil engineering projects, from managing roadway reconstruction programs to leading sewer rehabilitation and stormwater improvement initiatives. You'll partner with municipal public works and planning departments to deliver impactful civil solutions, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in our employee-owned firm. Principal Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage civil projects of varying size and complexity; serve as the primary point of contact for teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project initiation.
  • Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposals, and contract reviews.
  • Develop project schedules, set milestones, and manage deadlines.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and resources across all phases of design and construction.
  • Prepare project status reports, lead progress meetings, and document outcomes.
  • Lead project interviews and presentations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.


Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years required, 12 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) highly preferred
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems and think analytically
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and critical task scheduling skills
  • Active listening and superior communication skills both orally and written
  • Ability to provide clear direction, motivation, and support
  • Ability to identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate before they negatively impact projects
  • Ability to react quickly and positively in all communication
  • Competency in managing large projects and / or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually
  • Demonstrated financial success on projects managed
  • Knowledge and understanding of Engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement

Salary Range $160,000- $180,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
