The Opportunity

Build the future with us as a Senior Civil Designer, Land Development, based in Edmonton.
Here, you'll help shape communities across Alberta by delivering land development solutions that balance growth, sustainability, and municipal expectations. You'll join a team that collaborates across disciplines, embraces innovation, and designs projects that leave a lasting, positive impact.

Your Impact
  • Develop and refine engineering and construction drawings for a variety of land development projects.
  • Create plans, profiles, and detailed 3D civil models using Civil 3D.
  • Interpret and integrate municipal and regulatory standards into design solutions.
  • Prepare supporting technical documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentation ready tables.
  • Produce, modify, and quality check design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support construction activities through site reviews and coordination with contractors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Contribute to environmentally responsible project planning through thoughtful design approaches.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent field.
  • 8-10 years of hands on experience in land development design within Alberta and familiarity with municipal processes.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, familiarity with platforms like ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, or SharePoint is an asset with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Excel for design calculations.
  • Experience in field or construction environments is an asset.
  • Creative problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliably insured vehicle.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
