Job Summary

The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support business operations. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems, whether on-premise or in the cloud. The Systems Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support scalability, security, and business continuity efforts. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system management and improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement system architectures that ensure scalability, security, and high performance.
  • Lead infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and deployment of technical solutions.
  • Deploy and maintain scalable infrastructure while ensuring system security and compliance with best practices.
  • Analyze and support hardware/software systems for day-to-day operations, projects, and organizational initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance internal systems (hardware and/or software) to meet evolving business needs.
  • Automate routine tasks using programming/scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, including latency, using root cause analysis.
  • Support system testing, deployments, and ongoing maintenance across various environments.
  • Integrate cloud solutions and optimize infrastructure security across projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance documentation, processes, and technical standards.
  • Leverage AI-driven monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation to proactively detect issues, optimize workflows, and enhance system security.
  • Apply AI insights to improve operational efficiency, compliance monitoring, and system performance.
  • Applies advanced knowledge and independent judgment to address complex, non-routine problems.
  • Considers internal and external factors that may impact work outcomes and contributes to achievement of operational, project, or service objectives.
  • Individual contributor performing work independently; seeks guidance as appropriate for highly complex matters.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds, including floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and overhead lifts.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to install or troubleshoot hardware under desks or in tight spaces.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred
  • Certification preferred
