Full Job Description
We are looking for a Commercial Tax Services Senior to join our Tax Department in our Florham Park office. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. Responsibilities: • Prepares federal, state and local tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, Trust) • Review tax work of staff and interns and provide feedback, training, and mentoring • Review tax information supplied by client and obtain open items • Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work, and wrap-up • Perform tax research to resolve issues • Identify and communicate tax matters to Managers and Partners • Build relationships with clients and staff Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation preferred • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm • CPA or (in progress) preferred • Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws -individual, trust, gifts taxation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Responsive to clients • Must have excellent client service skills • Approaches projects with a sense of urgency • Highly motivated • Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications • Knowledge of Axcess and Go File Room is a plus What we offer: • Competitive Base Salary • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, with the ability to defray the employee contribution by engaging in our wellness initiatives • Employer contribution to Life Insurance, and 401(k) plan • Generous Paid Time off, including Summer Fridays • Customized learning and development opportunities and continuing professional education both in-house and virtually • Hybrid, flex, and remote work opportunities available • Ability to work in a growing, dynamic, employee-centric firm that values your unique contribution
