Job DescriptionThe Senior Buyer / Buyer II serves as a strategic partner across suppliers, operations, logistics, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and delivered on time. This role leverages expertise in procurement, supplier relationship management, negotiation, and supply chain operations to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), mitigate risk, and support business objectives.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Procurement- Source materials and services that support customer commitments, operational requirements, and business objectives.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms to maximize value and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and supply continuity.
- Monitor market conditions and supplier performance to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
Procurement Operations- Review and analyze purchase requisitions to validate specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders through fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Resolve purchase order, invoicing, and supplier-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Expedite critical orders and proactively address supply challenges impacting customer or business needs.
Cross-Functional Partnership- Collaborate with operations, logistics, sales, and field teams to support customer requirements and project timelines.
- Partner with freight forwarders and logistics providers to coordinate shipments and ensure efficient material movement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing procurement expertise, supply chain insights, and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement- Contribute to supply chain initiatives that improve cost, efficiency, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Support the implementation of procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
- Participate in strategic projects and process improvement efforts that enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or supply chain management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting technology, hardware, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of freight management, logistics operations, and global supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and procurement best practices.
