Join our dynamic team as a Senior Business Analyst, where you will play a key role in evolving our growing sector through projects and initiatives. The Broker Insurance Solutions Development team of the supports the creation, implementation and development of Desjardins Insurance's brokerage arm for commercial insurance. Our goal is to better support our business members and clients by offering enhanced coverage for businesses. As a senior business analyst with a legal background, you will lead projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including corporate legal. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area to complete comprehensive analysis and solution recommendations to optimize value creation. Coordination is critical, as you interact with stakeholders working in many fields. Interpersonal savvy and the ability to balance the interests of multiple parties are essential. Together, our ambition is to become the 5th largest commercial property and casualty insurer in Canada by 2030! More specifically, you will be required to:
  • Lead complex strategic projects & initiatives in collaboration with the product owner and project manager
  • Analyze costs, benefits, risks, constraints, business opportunities and needs to be factored into the project's scope
  • Identify, formalize and communicate needs and requirements to the various parties involved
  • Formalize business objectives and model processes
  • Co-create required solutions with the project team and collaborators from various sectors, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Analyze impacts with parties involved, and identify prerequisites and dependencies
  • Carry out change management activities
  • Support the organization and target during solution rollouts

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in law, business administration or a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in a business analyst or equivalent role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Expertise in an agile environment and a solid understanding of the methodology adopted in project mode
