Job Description

Job Summary:
Trihydro Corporation is seeking a Biogeochemist to support environmental investigation, remediation, restoration, and applied research projects. This role will focus on understanding and interpreting biological, geological, and chemical processes in soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater systems to help clients solve complex environmental challenges.

This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and combines data interpretation, technical reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams. If you enjoy scientific problem-solving, environmental data analysis, and working on meaningful projects that protect natural resources, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate biogeochemical processes affecting contaminant fate and transport in soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater systems
  • Design and support field investigations, sampling programs, and monitoring plans for environmental projects
  • Analyze geochemical, microbiological, hydrogeologic, and environmental chemistry data
  • Support remediation strategy development, including natural attenuation, enhanced bioremediation, and treatment technology evaluations
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, sampling and analysis plans, and regulatory deliverables
  • Develop conceptual site models that integrate biological, chemical, geological, and hydrologic data
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, scientists, laboratories, and field staff to meet project objectives
  • Conduct literature reviews, regulatory research, and technical evaluations to support client recommendations
  • Present findings to internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical quality, safety, and business development efforts

Qualifications:
  • MS in biogeochemistry, geochemistry, environmental science, geology, microbiology, hydrology, chemistry, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting, research, remediation, or applied science experience; additional experience preferred for senior-level candidates
  • Professional registration or certification such as PG, PE, or related credential preferred where applicable
  • Biogeochemical cycling, redox chemistry, contaminant fate and transport, and natural attenuation processes
  • Environmental sampling methods for soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, porewater, and gas
  • Data analysis tools, statistical methods, and visualization techniques for environmental datasets
  • Remediation technologies, including bioremediation, monitored natural attenuation, in situ treatment, and geochemical amendments
  • Regulatory frameworks and technical guidance related to environmental investigation and remediation
  • Strong technical writing, data interpretation, and scientific communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience preparing technical reports, figures, tables, and presentations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization, GIS, R, Python, or geochemical modeling software is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, safety awareness, and client service orientation

What We Offer:
  • Industry-leading 401(k) retirement plan, including a 6% discretionary match
  • Paid time off including vacation, flex, sick, paid family medical leave, and holiday pay
  • Comprehensive health insurance program (medical, dental, vision, and prescription)
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Mentoring and opportunities for professional advancement
  • Best-in-class safety culture

Summary pay range is $80,000 to $115,000 (The salary information is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.)
