Senior BI Developer (PowerBI) is responsible for leveraging in-depth expertise in our systems and processes to enhance business enablement and organizational efficiency. This role involves solving complex problems by developing innovative models and researching new tools to optimize our operations. Working independently with minimal guidance, the Senior BI Developer also acts as a resource for colleagues, offering support and mentorship.
This position reports to the Sr Manager, Global Commercial Analytics and is part of the Global Commercial Operations & Enablement (GCOE) Team located in Concord, Canada and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Drive the analytics function for the GCOE team, acting as a liaison with business users and technical resources for complex data projects.
- Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models, perform custom analysis on SCIEX data, and present insights using data visualization techniques.
- Lead data initiatives end-to-end, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, implementation, validation, and stakeholder enablement (training and documentation).
- Coach and mentor analysts and developers in building advanced data models, reports, and analytical solutions, while promoting strong development standards, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate, recommend, and help implement modern technologies and methods for data integration, modeling, analytics, and performance optimization.
The essential requirements of the job include:- Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Technology, Business, or similar discipline.
- 7+ years of experience developing enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions using Power BI, including complex data models and advanced DAX measures.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas) for large-scale data manipulation, transformation, and optimization, with experience using GitHub for version control.
- Proficiency in SQL and Azure Data Studio for data extraction, validation, and analytical problem-solving.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to operate independently in a global corporate environment while delivering a high level of customer service.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- Oracle (or other ERP system) and Salesforce.

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000.00-$135,000.00 CAD, per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
