Job Summary
The Sr. BI Developer will design and develop robust Business Intelligence solutions by leveraging industry-leading BI platforms such as Tableau and Power BI to transform data into actionable insights. The role requires strong dashboard and KPI development capabilities, working knowledge of data warehousing and relational databases, and the ability to collaborate closely with business users, Analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective BI solutions. The position requires strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently and within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop dashboards and KPIs using Tableau and Power BI while effectively communicating insights through data storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with Analysts, Product Managers, and business users to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot, modify, and enhance existing BI assets based on business and technical requirements.
• Verify the accuracy and integrity of data across dashboards, reports, data extracts, and data warehouses.
• Resolve data quality, dashboard performance, and database performance issues.
• Evaluate, design, and propose BI solutions and obtain appropriate approval for design and implementation.
• Work across development, testing, and production environments to support BI solution deployment.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for database modifications.
• Follow organizational data protection, network security, and antivirus policies.
• Stay current with BI industry trends and participate in relevant training, conferences, and seminars.
• Participate in organizational training and development programs.
• Uphold service excellence behaviors and comply with applicable policies, regulations, and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 4+ years of experience developing dashboards.
• Expertise with industry-leading BI platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience with reporting and data warehouse development.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of the financial or banking industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete projects within established timelines.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage several initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
• Tableau or Power BI certification.
• Portfolio demonstrating dashboards developed using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong initiative and proactive approach to identifying and addressing business and technical needs.
