Full Job Description
OVERVIEW
ATLAS CPAs & Advisors PLLC is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Audit Associate to join our growing audit team. This role works closely with Partners, Directors, Managers and clients to support audit engagements . preparing and reviewing workpapers, evaluating internal controls, and working directly with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy.

This is an onsite position based in our Colorado Springs office and required in-office attendance 5 days per week.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with audit engagement execution, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases;
  • Review and test internal controls in compliance with federal regulations and industry standards;
  • Analyze financial and operational processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance;
  • Prepare and index audit working papers and documentation in accordance with professional standards;
  • Support fieldwork activities, which may be conducted at client locations;
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and respond to their audit-related inquiries;
  • Ensure proper file management practices while upholding client confidentiality;
  • Collaborate with team members and provide support across audit projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written;
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and customer service;
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Proficient in using audit and accounting software such as CCH;
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS);
  • Strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality;
  • Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required;
  • CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in auditing, preferably within a public accounting firm;
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$85,000 - 100,000 per year. Compensation is based on several factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience and education, geographic location, and current market trends.
