Full Job Description
A Brief Overview

Provides a continuum of audiology services that include the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of patients with hearing or communication impairments. May participate in teaching, program development and/or other advanced Audiologists duties. Serves as a role model for junior level staff and students.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.


Qualifications:
Education

  • Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD or PhD) (Required)

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of full-time equivalent experience. (Required) and
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical setting with adult and pediatric patients. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Fundamental knowledge and the ability to apply the principles and practices related to Audiology, appropriate to the developmental or chronological age of patients on caseload. (Required proficiency)
  • Advanced expertise and demonstrated ability is in one or more of the following areas: programming & dispensing digital hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, ABRs, ECOGs, VEMPS, Cochlear implant programming and management. (Required proficiency)
  • Possess the ability and demeanor to teach, communicate and role model advanced clinical skills to the benefit of patients, co-workers, residents and students. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • ABA Certification (Preferred)
  • Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice Audiology or eligible for state licensure. (Required) and
  • Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A). (Required)
