Job Title: Senior Associate, Systems Administrator Job Code: 42548 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description:The Linux Enterprise System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux systems in secure program areas. Duties include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and maintaining Linux and related NetApp storage units, as well as maintaining engineering software tools. This person must be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to various levels of management, engineering, and security teams, as well as lead IT projects at the local level. Perform other IT duties as required.
Essential Functions:- Subject Matter Expert responsible for the configuration and maintenance of Linux while ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
- Implement routine system updates and patches, remediate findings and vulnerabilities while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in our operational processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Two years of Linux and/or NetApp systems administration experience.
- 1+ years of experience with Linux operating systems, NetApp Storage Devices, networking protocols, PowerShell or Bash, and security best practices.
- Current/active TS/SCI security clearance and CI Polygraph are required.
- CompTIA Security +, CISSP or any DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher approved certification.
- Ability to support overtime, as needed, and ability to lift equipment (50 LBS).
- Ability to support up to 20% offsite travel
Preferred Additional Skills:- Experience working with Nessus Security Center
- Experience with system virtualization, such as VMware
- Experience with Ansible Automation
- Experience with Cisco/Ariba Network and network protocols
- Experience working with Windows Distributed File System (DFS)
- Experience working with Active Directory
- Experience with Commvault or similar backup solution
- Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework
