Job Description:

Blake Willson Group is seeking a Senior Acquisition Support Specialist to lead and support complex federal procurements throughout the full acquisition lifecycle. In this role, you will advise Contracting Officers, program managers, government leadership, and other stakeholders; develop comprehensive acquisition strategies and documentation; ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition requirements; and lead acquisition workstreams to deliver effective procurement outcomes. In this position, you will:
  • Lead complex federal procurements and advise Contracting Officers, program managers, and senior stakeholders on acquisition strategies, risks, and alternatives.
  • Develop and review acquisition plans, market research reports, requirements documents, IGCEs, source selection plans, and approval documentation.
  • Develop strategies for competitive and noncompetitive acquisitions, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedules, GWACs, task orders, and other contract vehicles.
  • Interpret and apply the FAR, agency supplements, procurement policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Lead solicitation development, source selections, proposal evaluations, price and cost analyses, negotiations, and award documentation.
  • Support contract awards, modifications, option exercises, claims-related research, performance issues, and other post-award activities.
  • Review procurement actions for compliance, defensibility, and audit readiness while identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Lead acquisition workstreams, brief government leadership, coordinate with stakeholders, mentor staff, and develop acquisition process improvements.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience supporting federal acquisitions, preferably as a Federal Contract Specialist, Acquisition Specialist, Procurement Analyst, Contracting Officer support professional, or in a similar role.
  • 3 years of experience independently managing complex federal procurements and developing acquisition strategies and packages.
  • 3 years of experience leading acquisition workstreams, advising government stakeholders, or providing technical direction to junior acquisition staff.

Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience as a Federal Contracting Officer, Senior Contract Specialist, or in a similar role.
  • FAC-C Professional, legacy FAC-C Level II or III, DAWIA Contracting certification, or equivalent acquisition credentials.
  • Prior federal Contracting Officer warrant.
  • Experience supporting large, complex, or high-dollar procurements, including competitive negotiated acquisitions and source selections.
  • Experience with GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQ contracts, BPAs, task or delivery orders, and cost and price analyses.
  • Experience developing procurement policies, acquisition process improvements, or internal controls.
  • Experience using federal acquisition systems such as PRISM, Momentum, ConWrite, Procurement Desktop-Defense, FPDS, SAM.gov, or similar systems.
