Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Associate to oversee end-to-end billing operations and the collection process. This individual will work closely with the Controller, as well as Client Service and Operations teams, to ensure accurate and timely billing while supporting strong revenue controls. The right candidate brings a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a process-improvement mindset, with responsibilities that include maintenance of the billing system, internal controls testing, and ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the function.

This role is located in Boston, MA.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain billing system configuration for all advisory clients
  • Execute quarterly fee collection process
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting support for internal stakeholders
  • Manage accounts receivable activities to resolution
  • Process any billing adjustments in accordance with firm policies and procedures
  • Support SOX/internal revenue control testing
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors by gathering requested schedules, support, and explanations for billing and revenue activity
  • Respond to ad-hoc inquiries from client advisors and other internal partners
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation; serving as a subject matter expert for the billing function.
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Trading, and Compliance to support system enhancements, data quality initiatives, and control improvements.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in billing, financial operations, corporate accounting, or a related finance function.
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, large dataset manipulation) and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data, reconcile results, and communicate findings to finance and non-finance partners.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, managing deadlines in a cyclical/period-close environment.
  • Experience with systems such as Addepar, Workday Financials, or billing and ERP systems (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of custodians, money movement, and/or wealth management operations (preferred).
  • Prior involvement with SOX controls and/or audit support (preferred).
  • Experience with automation and reporting tools (e.g., Power Query/Power Pivot, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Comfort partnering with Technology teams on system enhancements, data quality controls, and process improvements


This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000-$100,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
