Job Description:

Blake Willson Group is seeking an Acquisition Support Specialist to support federal procurements throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from acquisition planning through contract closeout. In this role, you will develop and review acquisition documentation, research federal acquisition requirements, monitor procurement milestones, and coordinate with contracting, program, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to support timely and compliant acquisition outcomes. In this position, you will:
  • Independently support federal procurements from acquisition planning through contract award, administration, and closeout.
  • Advise program offices on acquisition strategies, procurement documentation, timelines, risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and review Acquisition Plans, Market Research Reports, SOWs, PWSs, SOOs, IGCEs, Source Selection Plans, Determinations and Findings, and Justifications and Approvals.
  • Develop and review RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitation documents while ensuring procurement packages and acquisition files are complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Research the FAR, agency supplements, and procurement policies and provide recommendations regarding acquisition and contract administration issues.
  • Support proposal and quotation evaluations, including technical, management, past performance, and price documentation, as well as negotiation documentation and award recommendations.
  • Support contract awards, task orders, modifications, funding actions, option exercises, and administrative changes while monitoring schedules and identifying risks to procurement milestones.
  • Coordinate with Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, CORs, program managers, financial personnel, legal counsel, and other stakeholders; prepare reports, briefings, trackers, and management communications; and provide guidance and quality reviews to junior acquisition staff.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience supporting federal acquisitions, preferably as a Federal Contract Specialist, Acquisition Specialist, Procurement Analyst, Contracting Officer support professional, or in a similar role.
  • 2 years of experience developing and reviewing federal acquisition documentation and supporting competitive procurements.

Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience as a Federal Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, Procurement Analyst, Acquisition Specialist, or in a similar role.
  • Experience working within a federal procurement or contracting office.
  • FAC-C Professional, DAWIA Contracting, or equivalent acquisition certification or training.
  • Experience with GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQ contracts, BPAs, and task or delivery orders.
  • Experience supporting source selections, proposal evaluations, acquisition planning, price analysis, or contract administration.
  • Experience using federal acquisition systems such as PRISM, Momentum, ConWrite, Procurement Desktop-Defense, FPDS, SAM.gov, or similar systems.
