Qualifications

• University degree in architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering, building science or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Enrollment in EIT or P.Eng considered an asset
• Familiarity with ASTM Practice E2018-15 for Property Condition Assessments
• Advanced knowledge of cost estimating for building repairs and replacements
• General knowledge across various building disciplines including mechanical and electrical systems
• Specialized knowledge in a specific area of building science or engineering
• Strong written communication and computer skills, especially with MS Excel

Responsibilities

• Apply building condition assessment processes and technical standards in asset evaluations
• Conduct thorough asset condition assessments with annual building inspections
• Identify and evaluate conditions and deficiencies of specialized building components
• Complete detailed asset condition reports using management software
• Provide recommendations and cost estimates for repair or replacement in capital budgets
• Lead scheduling and coordinate site assessment activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned
