Overview

Group 1 Automotive, Incis seeking to hire a Senior Analyst, Workday Integrations. This position plays a critical role in supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the Company’s Workday ecosystem through system administration, configuration, reporting, integrations, and business process improvements.

 

The Senior Analyst, Workday Integrations serves as a key technical and functional resource for Workday across the organization. This role is responsible for supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Compensation, Talent, Time Tracking, reporting, and integrations while partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines strong Workday techo-functional knowledge with hands-on integration expertise and a passion for process improvement. This role will support enterprise-wide initiatives, system enhancements, data integrity efforts, and Workday optimization activities while ensuring a positive user experience.

Responsibilities

Workday Administration & Functional Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Workday-related support, troubleshooting, and end-user inquiries
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules including:
    • Core HCM
    • Payroll
    • Compensation
    • Talent Management
    • Time Tracking
  • Support Workday system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations while minimizing business disruption
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and process effectiveness
  • Provide user training and guidance on Workday functionality, best practices, and new releases

Workday Integrations

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using:
    • Workday Studio
    • Core Connectors (CCW, CCB, PICOF)
    • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
    • Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
  • Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations, including file-based, API-based, and middleware-enabled solutions
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively resolve failures and system issues
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors
  • Support integration-related testing, validation, and release management activities

Reporting, Analytics & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across Workday and integrated systems
  • Support data governance and reporting initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable workforce and operational insights

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve system functionality
  • Maintain integration and system documentation, including:
    • Design specifications
    • Process flows
    • Data mappings
    • Configuration documentation
  • Support governance processes, standards, and change management activities
  • Evaluate new Workday releases and recommend enhancements that improve business outcomes

Project Delivery & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Lead or support Workday implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Act as a liaison between functional stakeholders and technical teams
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, consultants, and system integrators as needed
  • Manage multiple priorities and project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HRIS, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 4–7+ years of Workday administration, HRIS, or Workday integration experience along with troubleshooting integration issues
  • Strong experience with:
    • Workday Core HCM
    • Workday security
    • Report development
    • Data management
    • Integrations
  • Hands-on expertise with:
    • Workday Studio
    • Core Connectors
    • EIBs
    • XML, XSLT, and JSON
    • SOAP and REST APIs
  • Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance business processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Workday Certification(s)
  • Experience with Middleware platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar)
  • Experience in a large, multi-location or global organization
  • Project management or Agile experience
  • Knowledge of security models, data privacy, and governance principles
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Project execution and prioritization
