  • Facilitate coordination of plans across international sites and business units

BusinessContinuityManagementreportstotheExecutive Director,Risk Governance within the Finance groupbasedin Foster City, California.Thisrole will be part of a team thatis responsible forthe governance and support of Business Continuity Management (BCM) at Gilead.TheSenior Risk Analyst, Risk Governanceis responsible forsupporting the business withthedevelopment, maintenance,and exercise of business continuity plans and contributing to the annual BCM goals andobjectivesrequiredto achieve alignment with the company27s strategic direction and risk profile.Analytical thinking, project management,andcommunication skillsare key success factors in this role.

The preferred office location for this role is Foster City, CA but we will also consider Raleigh, NC.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining Business Continuity Program documentation, including but not limited to policies, standards, governance models, program procedures and tools and templates

  • Collaborate with other BCM team colleagues to plan and execute small projects that improve the BCM program27s services,tools,and standards

  • Prepare status reports and summary metrics for management

  • Assistwiththe required periodic plan updatesare completedandtabletopexercises are scheduled

  • Intheeventofanincident,provide BCM supportinthe crisis management response as directed andcommunicatebusinessrecoveryactivitiesandstatuscommunicationsto relevant crisis management team leaders

  • Interact with BCM participants to support their use of the Fusionsystem

  • Support cross-regional and cross-functional coordination of plans and activities across international sites and business units

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Five Years' Experience

Masters' Degree and Three Years' Experience

  • Ability to work inadeadline-driven and multi-tasking environment

  • Understanding of corporate functions and ability to map processes

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, andPowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of standard Business Continuity Management (BCM) or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, e.g., COSO,ISO, or ICS (Incident Command Structure)

  • Experience working with AI models to create program content is a plus

  • Experience working in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is a plus

  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across teams and levels

  • Business continuity certification, such as DRI International ABCP or CBCP or BCI (Business Continuity Institute), is a plus

  • Experience working in a multinational company is a plus


The salary range for this position is:

Bay Area: $109,650.00 - $141,900.00.Raleigh: - .


Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
