What You Will Do
• Help to plan and execute experiments; gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines
• Document job specific activities such as electronic design, modifications, data collection, calibration, and design of experiment data
• Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
• Utilize routine test or diagnostic equipment
• Ability to learn and use software tools
• Participate in developing new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in all work processes
• Operate in accordance with corporate, operations, and division policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with accepted business ethics
• Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health procedures
• Apply electronic theory to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modification of electronic products which requires a moderate understanding of the general technical aspects of the position
• Up to 10% travel for customer field support
Qualifications You Must Have
• Experience reading basic electronic schematics and building per drawing
• Experience with routine tests or diagnostic equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generator, network analyzer)
• Experience Soldering - surface mount and through hole
• Ability to understand the assembly and interaction of mechanical components
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Qualifications We Prefer
• Cable build skills - (i.e. layout and assembly)
• Working understanding of calibration techniques
• General understanding of RF technology

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
