Job Title: Senior Aircraft Technician (2nd Shift) Department / Division: Maintenance / AviationSalary Grade: HAV_13Salary Range: $70 - $76/hourLocation: Gerald Ford International AirportWhat do we need:Amway Aviation is looking to hire a safety-oriented Aviation Maintenance Technician with experience working on Large and Mid-cabin corporate fixed-wing aircraft and Corporate Helicopters. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing aircraft, including engines, engine systems, and airframe components, to ensure the aircraft remains in safe operating condition. Services for aircraft include fuel, tires, cleaning and grooming, restocking the aircraft, servicing waste, water, and engine oil tanks, and maintaining the aircraft hangars.
Working Hours: Monday through Friday from 2:30pm - 11:00 pm with the flexibility of overtime.What9s special about this role:Your ability to work collaboratively will be valued in this role as you work broadly with the other Technicians to maintain a variety of airframes. You will provide work scope requirements for annual budgeting and input into service centers for large work scopes and manage the projects from beginning to end. We will utilize your knowledge of the maintenance process to evaluate maintenance quotes and estimates, maintenance downtimes, and to interpret technical data. Your capabilities to lead projects with outside vendors and internal co-workers and meet the flight demands of the Principals and Corporate needs will spotlight your talents. This role will utilize your knowledge of our numerous platforms and FAA regulations to maintain our department9s reputation as one of the best flight departments in the nation.
Required qualifications:- Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, including 4 years of experience repairing and troubleshooting mid/large-size business-type jet aircraft
- High School Diploma & FAA Maintenance School
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Valid Passport/Eligible for Passport
- Working knowledge of current FAA regulations, ATA codes, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures
Skills to be successful in the role:- Corporate Aviation experience AND Corporate Helicopter experience
- Strong knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems
- Advanced system knowledge of flight management systems, aircraft avionics platforms, computer system background, and maintenance procedures for various aircraft in the Amway fleet
- Thorough familiarity and considerable experience using tools and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- Talent to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to bring projects forward to completion Strong ability to communicate and provide customer service
