Our work helps faculty, staff, students, researchers, and administrative teams achieve better outcomes through the responsible use of AI technologies. As part of the AI and Research Computing team, you will play a critical role in supporting and advancing enterprise AI services across the University.
Ongoing AI Platform Support Includes:- Provisioning and managing access to approved AI platforms and services.
- Providing front-line and hands-on support for AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Edu, Gemini, and other approved enterprise AI solutions.
- Assisting users with onboarding, adoption, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Responding to AI-related service requests and incidents through established support processes.
Additional Responsibilities Include:- Troubleshooting technical issues related to AI platforms, integrations, data access, and user experience.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and support documentation for AI services.
- Monitoring platform capabilities, feature releases, and roadmap developments to provide recommendations on new AI offerings and enhancements.
- Supporting AI access management processes, including license administration, security groups, permissions, and user provisioning.
- Assisting with AI governance and exception review processes by helping collect requirements and coordinate stakeholder reviews.
- Partnering with Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy teams to assess risks and support responsible AI adoption.
- Participating in vendor and stakeholder engagements to support platform operations, service improvements, and ongoing partnership management.
- Contributing to training, workshops, office hours, and user enablement activities that increase AI literacy and adoption across campus.
- Helping evaluate the security, compliance, and operational impacts of AI platform changes, new features, and integrations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, automate support processes, and enhance the overall AI user experience.

Work Location:Hybrid - This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. AMC ISS strives for a high-flex work environment, meaning although this role may predominately be executed effectively with a remote schedule, there may be instances where in-person meetings and/or activities are needed. There is no minimum or prescribed in-person requirement. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:
- 2 years of professional level experience in identity and access management, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, and RBAC, as well as AI platform administration, user provisioning, and user lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting AI tools, connectors, and integrations across business systems, including API integration and testing using REST APIs, JSON, and Postman, along with basic scripting and automation using Python and/or PowerShell.
PRINCIPAL
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

- Experience supporting AI tools, connectors, and integrations across business systems, including API integration and testing using REST APIs, JSON, and Postman, along with basic scripting and automation using Python and/or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience administering AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise/Edu, Gemini, Claude, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Azure, Google Cloud, or cloud-based identity management
- Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or research environments
- Experience creating user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base content
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and data privacy requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Knowledge of enterprise AI platforms, agent development environments, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, identity management, software development lifecycle principles, and enterprise application architecture.
- Skill in AI agent development, workflow automation, solution design, and business process optimization.
- Skill in developing integrations using REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, OAuth, enterprise connectors, web services, and related technologies.
- Skill in Python development, API consumption, technical troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Skill in designing, deploying, and supporting AI-enabled solutions that meet business, operational, and technical requirements.
- Skill in developing technical documentation, knowledge resources, implementation guides, and training materials.
- Strong communication, customer service, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI-enabled solutions and workflows.
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities, solve complex technical problems, and identify opportunities for automation and innovation.
- Ability to evaluate security, privacy, compliance, and data governance considerations when designing and implementing AI solutions.

- Senior: $114,000 - $126,000
- Principal: $125,000 - $150,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
