MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career, and client-oriented Senior AI/ML Strategist to join our team in Arlington, VA. This is a Hybrid position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Framework Architecture: Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level governance frameworks for AI/ML models, defining standards for model versioning, access management, and structured risk approval workflows.
  • Tier-4 Escalation & Security: Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier-4 model governance support, establishing robust API security controls and access policy boundaries in tandem with cybersecurity teams.
  • Responsible AI & Algorithmic Integrity: Establish complex evaluation metrics to mitigate algorithmic bias and ensure all deployed models comply with ethical AI principles and federal regulatory standards.
  • Continuous Optimization: Design repeatable evaluation procedures and performance monitoring baselines to track the real-world value and lifecycle optimization of active models.
  • Advanced Business Analysis: Deconstruct highly complex, ambiguous data pipelines into actionable functional requirements, coordinating across engineering, legal, and senior leadership.
  • Orchestrated Change Management: Lead model governance committees, navigate the human and procedural shifts required to adopt AI practices, and translate technical risks for non-technical leadership.
  • Organic Growth & Capture Strategy: Proactively identify mission gaps, shifting operational constraints, and new workstream opportunities on-site. Author compelling business cases, past-performance write-ups, and technical ROI metrics to justify scope expansion and anchor funding for new client capabilities.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree highly preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or technical MBA).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience navigating technical delivery and client strategy.
  • Exceptional track record of advising senior leadership, translating technical algorithmic risks, and maintaining high-stakes client relationships.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security+, CCSP, GSEC, SSCP, CFR, or FITSP-M.
  • PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications are highly desirable.


Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must possess an active Secret with eligibility for Top Secret / TS/SCI clearance.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.


The projected compensation range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
