Full Job Description
Location: Fort Eustis, VA
Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite
Clearance: Active Secret clearance; Interim Secret acceptable during onboarding
Travel: Up to 25%
Employment: Full-time; contingent upon contract award

Essnova is seeking two Senior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineers to provide aircraft analysis, integration, airworthiness, and testing support for U.S. Army aviation research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define technical performance measures for test and evaluation.
  • Perform post-test data collection and analysis.
  • Develop modeling and simulation environments, system architectures, and verification plans.
  • Generate designs, drawings, and substantiation documentation supporting aircraft integration.
  • Prepare airworthiness substantiation packages.
  • Develop test plans and reports for structural, material, environmental, electromagnetic, vibration, and system testing.
  • Produce stress and test reports addressing applicable specifications, FAA requirements, maneuver loads, crash loads, and fatigue loads.
  • Analyze vibration data and Resonance Assessment Profile testing.
  • Oversee less-senior engineering personnel and present technical findings.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, including classical analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and finite/infinite life assessment.
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of relevant aviation or R&D test, analysis, and reporting experience.
    • Master's degree and at least six years of relevant experience.
    • Doctoral degree and at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance; Interim Secret acceptable during onboarding.
  • Ability to work primarily onsite at Fort Eustis and travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Army aviation airworthiness or AR 70-62 experience.
  • Aircraft structural analysis, FEA, fatigue, vibration, or rotorcraft experience.
  • Military aircraft integration and testing experience.
