About this opportunity:The Senior Advisor, Incident Management operates across multiple business areas and functions to support the consistent application of the organization's Incident Management process at a company-wide level. This role leads and supports complex, high-risk, and non-routine incident investigations, playing a critical part in enhancing incident quality, strengthening organizational learning, and enabling effective reporting and decision-making.
Reporting to the Manager, Learning and Data Analytics, this role requires a senior professional who can lead through influence, as well as coach and train stakeholders, including consultants, to drive alignment and continuous improvement across the organization.
What you'll do: - Support the end-to-end Incident Management lifecycle, including reporting, notification, classification, investigation initiation, action management, and organizational learning
- Provide expert judgment on incident classification and reclassification to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Lead or support high-severity and complex incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and appropriate outcomes
- Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) or coach stakeholders in its use to build organizational capability and enable consistent, high-quality investigations.
- Coach and influence stakeholders across the organization to improve process consistency, quality, and adherence to standards
- Contribute to the success of the Incident Management Network by helping shape agendas, presenting as needed, and ensuring alignment with network objectives.
- Drive alignment and consistency across business units and functions while identifying trends and systemic issues
- Contribute to the achievement of annual strategic goals and objectives outlined in the business plan
- Translate complex incident management requirements into clear, practical guidance and training for stakeholders
- Promote continuous improvement by strengthening organizational learning and enhancing incident management practices across the lifecycle
Who you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- CRSP accreditation considered an asset
- 8+ years of experience working in a Health and Safety role in the oil and gas industry required.
- 5+ years of experience performing Incident Investigations, Cause Analysis, is required.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
