Full Job Description
A career as a Senior Digital Assets Advisor in the Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means acting as a strategic expert in digital assets. In this role, you will help shape and scale our institutional digital asset capabilities while contributing to the design of robust operating models, processes, and controls. Your expertise in digital assets, capital markets operations, and regulated environments will have a direct impact on the evolution of our business and operational ecosystem.

You will join a team that is building innovative solutions to support emerging institutional use cases while ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex challenges into practical and scalable solutions.

Your role
• Act as the digital assets subject matter expert and provide market insights to support the development of new capabilities and strategic initiatives.
• Design and optimize end-to-end operating models, processes, controls, and governance frameworks aligned with business, regulatory, and risk requirements.
• Define and oversee the integration of digital assets across the transaction lifecycle, including trade capture, custody, funding, settlement, reconciliations, market events, and exception management.
• Develop and strengthen operational controls and risk mitigation practices related to on-chain and off-chain activities, including exchange and counterparty exposure.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, technology, risk, compliance, finance teams, and external partners to support institutional digital asset initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational readiness, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of digital asset expertise across the organization.

Your team

The Capital Markets Operations sector consists of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of innovation, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Strategy, Data and Performance team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary group supporting the evolution of operational capabilities across Capital Markets. You will report to the Senior Director, Strategy, Data and Performance.

Requirements
• Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have significant experience in digital assets, capital markets, financial market infrastructure, or a related industry.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of digital asset ecosystems, including blockchain-based and traditional market infrastructures, custody, wallets, settlement, reconciliation, and market events.
• Have experience designing and implementing operating models, processes, controls, and governance frameworks within regulated or complex environments.
• Have experience with institutional digital asset infrastructure, including exchanges, custodians, wallet solutions, digital asset books of record, tokenization, stablecoins, or real-world assets.
• Possess knowledge of regulatory, operational, and risk management considerations applicable to financial institutions, particularly within capital markets environments.
• Have experience supporting transformation initiatives, operational change programs, or new business capabilities from concept through implementation.
