Position Title

Senior Accountant

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The objective of the Senior Accountant is to keep the Hospital's general ledgers up to date and accurate, to prepare financial reports and analysis from the information obtained in the ledgers, and to assist the Assistant Controller of Accounting as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field is required.

Master's degree in accounting or in a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Three years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close responsibilities.

Three years of experience with financial software is required.

Three years of proficiency using Microsoft Excel is required.

Three years of experience with ERP financial applications is preferred.

Three years of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

CPA is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated excellence in project and task ownership.
Experience working with a team.
Superior attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
