Compensation$83,500 - $115,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications) plus annual bonus potential

LocationWhat You'll DoIn this role, you'll play a key part in supporting Wright-Hennepin's financial operations while contributing to accurate, timely reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
Financial Management (90%)- Prepare monthly financial statements, including supporting reports, variance analysis, and narratives
- Facilitate the development of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, including detailed financial reporting and analysis
- Own the preparation and submission of Form 7 and other required external regulatory filings
- Contribute to month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Review expenditures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Research and apply accounting guidance to ensure compliance with current standards and best practices
- Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights and support business needs
- Identify opportunities to improve processes by leveraging technology and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and procedures, including use of tools such as Scribe or other AI-supported solutions
- Provide backup support for accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed

Requirements
What We're Looking ForEducation and Experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Minimum of five to seven years of accounting or finance experience
- Well versed in GAAP accounting; RUS and/or FERC accounting knowledge is a plus
- Budgeting and capital expenditure planning experience
- Electric cooperative experience preferred
- Wholly owned subsidiary or holding company knowledge preferred

Salary Description
$85,000 -$115,000
