The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Controller and will also have significant interaction with other members of the Accounting, Finance and Operational Accounting teams.
This role requires you to be on site in our Boston HQ 4 days a week.***
Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly financial statement preparation
- Maintain and reconcile key general ledger accounts
- Enter AP invoices and obtain required invoice approvals from management, including research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax, property tax, gross receipts tax, and other indirect tax filings
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax projections
- Assist with estimated tax payments and extension calculations
- Maintain tax schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation for tax returns
- Assist with annual compliance returns and filings
- Ad hoc assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Skills with General Ledger, working knowledge of GAAP Accounting Principles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Oracle experience a plus

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position (Senior Staff Accountant) in US-MA-Boston is between $78,000 and $106,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications.
