Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Lehi, UT (in office)

Position Summary

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant with a strong public accounting foundation who wants to move beyond audit and help build a rapidly growing, multi-site healthcare organization. This role partners closely with the Controller and offers broad exposure to financial reporting, operational accounting, month-end close, process improvement, systems, cash management, fixed assets, new entity setup, and special projects across related business ventures.

The ideal candidate is a real up-and-comer: smart, hungry, highly analytical, exceptional in Excel, technically strong, and excited by the opportunity to help scale a business rather than simply maintain one. Healthcare experience is helpful, but not required. A public accounting background, strong work ethic, and leadership potential matter more.

Key Responsibilities - Core Accounting & Close
  • Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clean supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany activity, accruals, and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Analyze financial results and explain key drivers to the Controller and leadership team.
  • Support preparation of management reporting packages, executive summaries, cash reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, capitalization support, and related reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and interim fieldwork.
  • Help maintain ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting workbooks and supporting schedules.

Reporting, Analytics & Business Support
  • Assist in building more detailed clinic-level, provider-level, department-level, and entity-level reporting over time.
  • Support cash collection tracking across clinics and help improve visibility into collections trends and operating performance.
  • Partner with operations, payroll, HR, AP, and other departments on accounting-related questions and one-off projects.
  • Support development of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis capabilities as the finance function matures.
  • Translate operational activity into usable financial insight for leaders who may not live in the numbers every day.

Process Improvement, Systems & Special Projects
  • Identify and implement improvements to close processes, reconciliations, reporting workflows, and accounting controls.
  • Assist with ERP, payroll, accounting, and reporting system improvements or future system implementations.
  • Support setup and accounting development for new entities and affiliated ventures, including real estate, leasing, hospitality, and other investment activities.
  • Assist with company purchasing and vendor-related processes, including Amazon account administration and supplies oversight where needed.
  • Create and maintain clear accounting policies, desktop procedures, and repeatable workflows as the company scales.

Leadership & Growth Potential
  • Provide review, coaching, and support to accounting staff over time as the team grows.
  • Help oversee AP, mail, supplies, and cross-functional accounting workflows as needed.
  • Model high standards for accuracy, accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate readiness to grow into broader Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller-track responsibilities.

Qualifications - Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience required; Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred. Top national or strong regional public accounting experience will also be considered.
  • CPA preferred; CPA-track candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, reconciliations, and large data sets. VBA is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial, payroll, and business information.

Qualifications - Preferred
  • Healthcare, multi-site, or multi-entity accounting exposure.
  • Experience with Business Central, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
  • Exposure to revenue cycle, billing, patient collections, or insurance payment reporting.
  • Experience supporting high-growth companies, new entity setup, acquisitions, or location expansion.
  • Experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, consolidations, fixed assets, and audit support.
