Job Title: Senior Accountant - Revenue & Contracts

Reports to: General Manager
Location: Mohawk Networks, LLC - On-Site (Akwesasne)
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative Senior Accountant - Revenue & Contracts to oversee the financial operations of Mohawk Networks, LLC. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue, billing, contract administration, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Working within a shared services finance model, the Senior Accountant serves as the primary financial liaison between Mohawk Networks, Shared Services Finance, and external accounting consultants while overseeing day-to-day entity-level accounting operations, revenue processes, and financial data integrity. This position plays a key role in supporting the organization's growth through federal contracting, new legal entities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships by ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue, Billing & Data Integrity
  • Own subscriber billing lifecycle including contract setup, renewals, modifications, and cancellations
  • Audit and reconcile high-volume transactional data between GLDS and NetSuite
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue inputs and supporting documentation
  • Oversee recurring payment processing (ACH/CC), AR aging, and automated collections workflows

General Accounting & Month-End Operations
  • Lead entity-level readiness for month-end close through reconciliations and data validation
  • Prepare accruals and track prepaid expenses
  • Maintain fixed asset register (including fiber infrastructure and hardware) and record depreciation
  • Review GL coding and initiate reclassifications or journal entries as needed

Shared Services Coordination
  • Act as primary point of contact for Shared Services Accounting
  • Deliver clean, validated financial data for consolidation and reporting
  • Resolve discrepancies between operational systems and accounting outputs
  • Streamline workflows to reduce friction and improve financial processing efficiency

Government Contracting, Joint Ventures & Multi-Entity Support
  • Serve as the internal liaison to government contracting accounting consultants
  • Support compliance alignment with federal contracting requirements
  • Assist with project accounting, including cost tracking, labor allocation, indirect cost pools, and contract reporting
  • Support financial setup, integration, and ongoing accounting for new legal entities
  • Assist in tracking and reconciling financial activity related to joint ventures, teaming agreements, and strategic partnerships, including revenue allocation, cost-sharing, and partner reporting alignment
  • Ensure entity-level financial data supports consolidated and partner reporting requirements

Audit, Compliance & Controls
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and clear financial records
  • Assist in audit preparation and support audit requests
  • Maintain vendor documentation (W-9s) and assist with 1099 reporting
  • Compliance Monitoring: Support adherence to applicable federal contracting regulations, including FAR, SBA 8(a), HUBZone, and other contract-specific requirements
  • Internal Controls: Support the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures designed to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy

Planning & Analytical Support
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reporting
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
