Description
The Role: Senior Accountant
You are an experienced accounting professional with a history of 3- 5 years of progressive GAAP accounting experience. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closings, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
What You'll Do:
- Manage general ledger accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Lead or assist in closing activities to ensure timely completion of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Partner with operations to monitor inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and support forecasting, purchasing, and audit requirements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany balances and key GL accounts.
- Support internal financial reporting and variance analysis including cash flow across multiple entities.
- Assist with audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax and annual reports in multiple states to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support Accounts Payable and Receivable processing to ensure timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Contribute to process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices to maintain and enforce internal control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA or CPA a plus
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with general ledger functions, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Treasury experience and knowledge of multi-entity or multi-currency accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance requirements
- Experience in dynamic, high paced environments such as private equity backed companies and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed

Salary Description
$100,000 - $115,000
