  • Prepare and maintain AR reserve analysis and bad debt reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on close improvements and special projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant owns balance sheet integrity with primary responsibility for prepaid expenses, amortization, sales and use tax reporting, and accounts receivable and supports timely and accurate month end close while maintaining GAAP compliance and audit ready documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reconcile prepaid expense accounts and prepare monthly amortization schedules and journal entries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate amortization of prepaid costs in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee sales and use tax reporting, including data collection, validation, and filing support.
  • Coordinate with AP, Operations to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Manage accounts receivable balances, activity, and monthly AR reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain AR reserve analysis and bad debt reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries supporting the month end close process.
  • Investigate and resolve balance sheet variances and unusual account activity.
  • Maintain organized reconciliation support and audit ready documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to prepaid expenses, AR, and tax.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on close improvements and special projects.
  • Build and maintain Excel based reconciliation schedules and analysis workpapers.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Compensation: $86-102K + 10% Annual Bonus

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
