Senior Accountant

Manufacturing & Government Contracting | Full-Cycle Accounting | 9/80 Schedule
Looking for a role where you'll do more than just close the books? We're seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a highly visible accounting team supporting a stable manufacturing and government contracting organization. This position offers broad exposure across general ledger accounting, fixed assets, inventory, audit support, and financial reporting, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and meaningful impact.

What You'll Do
  • Own key components of the month-end close process in a fast-paced four-day close environment
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end accounting transactions
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and reporting
  • Support inventory accounting activities and help ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze financial data and explain accounting results to internal stakeholders and auditors
  • Assist with audit requests and maintain organized supporting documentation
  • Prepare financial schedules and contribute to financial statement preparation
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools to support reporting and analysis
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with accounting leadership in a lean environment where every team member plays a critical role


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong ownership of month-end close activities
  • Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  • Fixed asset accounting experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
