Job Description:

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the month end close, quarter end close and annual audit process, ensuring key financial processes and controls are established and maintained. This position provides the opportunity to gain broad experience in accounting operations, financial reporting and corporate accounting and is responsible for the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

What you will be doing:
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries to support the month end close process ensuring accounting results are accurate and properly supported. Monitor deadlines and milestones following up with relevant owners and escalating issues as needed. Ensure financial results are accurate and properly supported through regular meetings, communication and training with internal business partners and finance stakeholders.
  • Prepare account reconciliations as part of the Company's month end financial close process ensuring deadlines are met and issues are raised proactively along with recommendations for resolution. Work with significant attention to detail ensuring documentation is clear and concise.
  • Analyze financial data and communicate findings to business partners and manager, identifying significant and unusual variances.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of annual and interim audits, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation. Maintain documentation, fulfill auditor requests for information and walk auditors through accounting processes. Assist in the maintenance of internal controls as defined by the Company's internal control program. Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring timely communication, information flow, and resolution of audit-related inquiries.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statement disclosures and notes in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting deliverables.
  • Assist and support with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives including identification of accounting transactions or processes that can be streamlined, modified or automated. Provide input to support process design changes. Responsible for updating internal documentation.
  • Lead the administration and utilization of BlackLine to streamline reconciliations, automate manual processes, and strengthen internal controls.


What you bring:
  • University Degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
  • 3-5 years' experience in General Accounting with a preference for experience at tier one Consumer Packaged Goods company or similar
  • Understanding of US GAAP or IFRS
  • CPA designation or working towards accounting designation

Compensation: Budgeted Range - $75,072.00 - $103,224.00

The budgeted range considers several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements.
