Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organization's financial records through account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, tax preparation, and internal audits. The ideal candidate possesses a strong working knowledge of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Duties & Essential Functions:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile physician compensation calculations, ensuring compliance with employment agreements, productivity models, incentive plans, and organizational policies.
  • Review physician productivity reports and validate compensation calculations using financial and operational data.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle, Human Resources and operational leadership to resolve physician compensation discrepancies and provide financial insights.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel models, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Alteryx, advanced formulas, and financial models to support physician compensation analysis and financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by providing detailed financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, accounting standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Review and improve accounting and physician compensation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
  • Assist with tax reporting, regulatory reporting, and other statutory compliance requirements as needed.
  • Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience
  • 2+ years relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA Preferred
  • SageIntacct experience preferred but not required
  • Mix of public/private accounting experience a plus
  • Experience with physician compensation models, including incentive plans, and contract interpretation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Alteryx, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, IF statements, and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, and operational leadership.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday

Salary Range:
  • $85,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience
