Job Description:

Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Senior Account Manager specifically to support the Marine aftermarket business. This person will lead enterprise alignment and accelerate services growth focused on expanding aftermarket and services solutions for specific customer segments within Marine through Cat Reman solutions.

The Senior Account Manager will serve as a strategic leader and integrator across the Remanufacturing Division, Marine industry leadership, Product Support, Sales Execution, Distribution Services, Cat Digital, and the Cat Dealer network. The position is accountable for shaping go-to-market strategies, delivering incremental services growth, and ensuring disciplined execution and governance across enterprise initiatives. Strong communication, influence, and cross-enterprise leadership are critical to success in this role.

What You Will Do

This role is responsible for driving services growth through Cat Reman solutions by aligning enterprise partners, translating market needs into executable strategies, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes for the Marine business.

Enterprise Alignment
  • Drive alignment on strategies, priorities, and investments across enterprise partners including Remanufacturing Division, PSLD, IPSD, LPSD, Distribution Services, Cat Digital, and Marine industry leadership.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the Remanufacturing Division and Marine leadership to ensure services growth initiatives are aligned with enterprise objectives and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders across Caterpillar and the Cat Dealer network to enable execution through influence rather than authority.
  • Represent the Remanufacturing Division in enterprise planning cycles, industry strategy discussions, and cross-functional governance forums as they impact the Marine services business.
Go-To-Market Development
  • Facilitate the development of Marine services growth strategies leveraging Cat Reman products, repair options, and lifecycle solutions.
  • Translate voice-of-customer, dealer feedback, and market insights into differentiated Cat Reman service offerings for Marine customers.
  • Partner with Product Support, Engineering, and Cat Digital to shape service concepts, solution packages, and value propositions that improve customer outcomes and total lifecycle value.
  • Support aftermarket new product introduction (NPI) and service program business cases, ensuring alignment with industry priorities and commercial viability.
Go-To-Market Execution
  • Coordinate and support execution of go-to-market plans in collaboration with Marine sales execution teams, Cat Dealers, and enterprise partners.
  • Drive incremental services growth through development and deployment of Cat Reman repair options, components, and service solutions.
  • Ensure clear communication of strategies, priorities, and expectations to internal partners and the Cat Dealer network.
  • Support forecasting, demand planning, and critical parts alignment to enable successful market execution.
Governance and Performance Management
  • Establish and support governance routines to track progress, manage priorities, and resolve barriers across enterprise initiatives.
  • Monitor performance of services growth initiatives and provide insights to leadership on risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment with Caterpillar commercial processes, aftermarket metrics, and operational definitions.
  • Translate data, insights, and market feedback into actionable recommendations that improve execution effectiveness and customer experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in Power & Energy or aftermarket commercial, product support, or engineering roles.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Marine customer segments.
  • Proven ability to drive growth through cross-enterprise collaboration and indirect influence.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience aligning strategy to execution in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer, dealer, and market insights into executable services strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with experience supporting growth initiatives, new service introductions, and enterprise projects.

What Skills Will Differentiate You

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling Cat Reman products and services; ability to provide overall product or service value and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Customer Focus: Knowledge and/or experience working with Marine customers and their outcome drivers for customized solutions.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in commercial acumen and Marine segments.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Superior and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, that range from technical discussions to executive presentations.

Negotiating: Sales and negotiation experience with customers will set you apart. Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external partners and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Relationship Management: Superior relationship-building skills and the ability to execute through a team of Caterpillar, Dealer, and Customer personnel. Demonstrated team leadership skills.

Account Management: Knowledge of account management; ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to clients.

Additional Information:
Position will be located in the Houston, TX office. (expectation of 5 days in the office)

Will require 20-30% travel

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
